Home made paneer - the easiest way

Paneer is a food that is loved by almost all ages of people from kids to elderly people, most of them think that it is very hard to prepare at home. No, that is not the case, it is the easiest food ingredient that can be prepared in our kitchen without much of our effort. The ingredients are just 2 in number that is readily available at our home. It is a healthy food that all the children would love to eat. we can make a number of food items using paneer.

Ingredients required: 
1.Milk 
2.Lemon or Vinegar


Step by Step Preparation Method:

  1. Take a large vessel and keep it on the stove and put on the stove. 
  2. Now pour 1 litre of milk into it.
  3. Bring the milk to boiling stage, which generally happens in just 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Now add two table spoons of  vinegar or the juice of half a lime and stir the milk continuously.
  5. The milk should be in the stove with medium flames, now keep stirring the milk until it starts to curdle, some times you may need more vinegar or more lime juice for the milk to curdle. So add more vinegar as required
  6. Now the water will get separated completely.
  7. Put off the stove, remove the vessel from the stove.
  8. Let it get cooled down to some extent, now drain off the curdled milk over cheesecloth or stainer or thin cotton cloth.
  9. Squeeze the content till all the water is removed.
  10. shape the curdled milk according to your requirement in the cloth, cover it and place another vessel with flat base filled with water on the covered panner so that it gets hardened up. keep it aside for 1 hour or more. 
  11. Now you can remove the vessel and open the curdled milk which would have turned to paneer. 
  12. Cut them into pieces according to your requirement and use it in your favourite dish and enjoy.
